"STEPHEN KING HANGS AROUND YOUR HOUSE" PAPER TOY

What could be better than having a famous writer hanging around the house, classing up the joint with witty anecdotes about his published works?

Nothing, that's what!

That's why I've made the "Stephen King Hangs Around Your House" paper toy. Print it out. Cut it out. Paste a button on Stephen's foot and hang him to balance anywhere his feet can swing free. A light switch will do or a pin on your bulleting board. He'll even hang from your finger...and who wouldn't want Stephen King wrapped around their little finger?

Make this simple paper toy today and tomorrow you can began complaining, in all honesty, that "Stephen King keeps hanging around my house."

Time needed to complete this project: about 6 minutes

Supplies needed to complete this project:
color printer
8 1/2 by 11 inch white, heavy card stock
scissors
white glue or glue stick
button or penny

Actual size of this paper toy is about 6 inches by 6 inches.

STEP ONE : Right-click here and choose the menu selection "save link as" to download the PDF file. Save it to your hard drive. Print the 8 1/2 by 11 inch image on standard white or cream color card stock. Remember to tell your printer you are using cardstock or heavyweight matte paper.

STEP TWO: Cut out the gray background square, the quote and the figure of Anne Frank.

STEP THREE: Glue a button ( or even a spare penny) to the back of the figure, on the heel of the raised foot. If you don't have a button or a penny, you could even put a paper clip on the foot. This weight will help balance the figure so it hangs properly.

YOU'RE DONE!  Now you can let Stephen King hang around close to your computer to inspire prolific writing.

And don't forget, he makes a great excuse! "Sorry, I can't attend. Stephen King is still hanging around my house. And you know, that guy is scary!"
